Scoring st antoine

Hi!
Im back to taking patients after a long time away. Im reviewing my notes but seem to have forgotten how to score the pain questionnaires! (Im ashamed of myself!)
What do we add in the columns...the number of words they expressed? The scores?
My brain isnt making sense of my notes anymore....
Thanks

Bea careful Amanda, the Test Administration of the McGill Pain Questionnaire is NOT the same than the French version of this Original Questionnaire: le Questionnaire de la Douleur St-Antoine (QDSA)

    1. Original Test Administration
It is simple enough. Patients are asked to choose words that describe to their actual pain. Sometimes they are asked by the therapist, who glances at the time, for words that suit to their pain during the past 24 hours, using such questions as, “Since yesterday at … 11 o’clock (if it is 11 o’clock …).
1st step: The words are read out slowly and distinctly in the prescribed order and the patient is asked to say, “Stop”, when a word corresponds to what has felt during the past 24 hours. A cross is marked on the sheet.

2nd step: In the groups where several words have been marked, the patient is asked for the one that fits the best. Beforehand, however, the therapist explains to the patient that all the words he chose are the truth and belong to him. The search is to find out which one of them corresponds the best.

3rd step: Assessment of the importance of the pain. Two scales are available, one verbal and the other numerical. The patient is asked whether he prefers numbers or words. Then, each word from the second step is rated from 0 to 5, depending on whether the pain is described as “none": 0, “mild”: 1, “discomforting”: 2, “distressing”: 3, “horrible”: 4 or “excruciating”: 5. When the patient describes the importance in words, the therapist automatically converts the words into numbers in order to be able to subsequently calculate the score.
