Hi CSTPs,
Came across the above from an article.
Any of you have explored on this subject on Dietary role in Neuropathic pain or your experiences with patients on this are welcomed to share some light here.
It would be of great help.
Thanks in advance!!

Hi Joshua,
It appears that several of my patients have vitamin B12 prescribed by their medical doctor. However, I do not have a look on the results of this vit B12 in my treatments. Do I have faster results with patients having vit B12 ? I could'nt say.
Does anyone else have experiences with these treatments ?
Best regards,

Ihave experience with combined B1 Vitamin 250 mg, B6 Vitamini 250 mg, B12 Vitamini 1 mg and Alfa Lipoik Asit 300 mg . I recommend 2x1 in a day. It is not miracle but have some positive effect on neuropathic pain.
Nice to hear about you Dr Nur :-D
Yesterday, I discovered for the first time:
PEA/Plex: B1, B2, B3, B6, B12 vitams + palmitoylethanolamide
It seems that pain after a heel prothesis decreased with this PEA/Plex.
In 2019, whe we were editing the 4th ed. we looked for evidence about palmitoylethanolamide, but we didn't find data very strong about it. In Switzerlan this is impossible to buy it.
In my handbook (2001, [2006]), their is a whole section about B12 vitamin.
I don't have any idea about Alfa Lipoik Asit. Nur, could please, give us a bit extra-informations to therapists ?
Kind regards
CJ
Dear Claude
Last 7 year ı am the executive chief of a 300 bedded rehabilitation hospital. I always remember beautiful course days in your clinic I try to come onemore may be after COVID 19 days. Alpha-lipoic acid is an anti oxidant, ALA may help reduce the symptoms of peripheral neuropathy -- nerve damage. There is a new study about mechanism published in 2020 and its free
'Alpha-lipoic acid downregulates TRPV1 receptor via NF-κB and attenuates neuropathic pain in rats with diabetes'
I recommend patients who have nerve damage ( radiculopathy, neuropathic pain ...). In diabetic patients I have nearly 30 year experience I can say it is preventative
